Who's your favorite anime character? I Like the anime character named "ENEL". Enel is an antagonist in the anime series "one piece". He is really strong!

Who is really ENEL? Enel (Often romanized as Ener or Eneru) is a villain from the fictional One Piece manga and anime series.His name could very well be a nod to ancient Mesopotamian Gods, such as En-lil. Some believe that his name is a pun on the word "energy" and therefore translate it as "Eneru" or "Ener", or "Enel", as it appears in the video games, mainly due to the fickleness of translating Katakana. Enel is also the name of the utility responsible for generation of electrical power in Italy (although this might not be intentional). In the English Dub, his name was translated as Eneru. Also, his powers and the drums attached to his back match those of the storm god of Japan, Rajiin, so the idea of this character might originate from this god. Additionally, one of his poses (reclining on his side) and his elongated earlobes are reminiscent of statues of Buddha. His golden staff and a floating thunder cloud he sometimes sits on could be nods to Sun wokung (Son Goku), the Monkey King/God from Journey to the West.
Oda confirmed that if Enel were actually a wanted pirate, he would have a bounty of no less than 500,000,000 Beli, which would be larger than any of the known bounties of the shichibukai.
In a recent Japanese Fan Poll, Enel is currently ranked the 22nd most popular character, making him the most popular One Piece "Major Villain"

What are his abilities and powers? Enel thinks of himself as an invincible god - quite literally. He believes that he is a divine and immortal being, with the authority to do, take or destroy whatever he pleases. As the result, he appears fearless, childish, and without a care in the world. His lifestyle is relaxed and hedonistic, and when not attending to his godly duties of smiting the natives of Skypeia, he spends his time sleeping or eating in his residence, being waited on hand and foot by beautiful women. This attitude carries over to his battles, where he's hardly serious and barely annoyed - instead he's relaxed, and enjoys himself by effortlessly absorbing attacks, and humiliating his opponents. In his fight against Kamakiri, he even went to sleep in the middle of the fight, in order to prove his immortality.
Enel holds no regard for other's lives except his own, and has no moral qualms about killing thousands- instead he sees it as his godly duty, and laughs as he sends Skypeia to its doom. He is in short completely insane, which was more or less undeniable when he sets off for the moon, which he believes to be the home of God (himself). Before Luffy showed up, his fruit power and mantra ability made his God complex completely legitimate. Once Luffy began gaining the upper hand in the battle he incapacitated him, in order to remove him as a threat, and reclaim his status as "invincible" - and from this point acts somewhat cowardly, trying his best to avoid another confrontation with Luffy. According to Oda, Enel's favourite fruit is apples. Going along with this, when Enel taunts in One Piece Grand Battle! Rush (The Japanese version of One Piece Grand Battle, and One PIece Grand Adventure, he eats an apple.
Enel appears to posses a vast knowledge of mechanics and technology, as well. He personally designed his flying ark, Maxim, and knows its inner workings inside and out; if any damage is done to the inside, he is able to repair it (assuming it's repairable). He was even able to design a stormcloud production system (known as Deathpiea), an electrical power system, and a Jet Dial failsafe for the ark, in the event that the main engines are damaged.
Many of One Piece's primary villains were given distinct laughs. Enel follows this tradition with a stressed "ya" at the beginning of his laugh (i.e. "Yaaa ha ha ha ha ha!"). This carries over to the English dub.

He gets his power from the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble Rumble Fruit, "Goro" being a Japanese sound effect for thunder). It lets him use a variety of electric and lightning based attacks, which are nearly all named after thunder gods from various cultures. When amplified by his ship (the Maxim), they were shown to be able to easily destroy an island. It also gives him the ability to restart his heart after being killed. His current mini arc suggests he does not need to breathe, and can survive outside of the atmosphere (though the laws of space may not apply in the One Piece universe since the soldier he found isn't wearing a spacesuit and is still alive. However the soldier has recently been revealed to be a robot and that may explain him not needing to breathe).

FUCK!!!

Is "FUCK" an offensive word? Many consider this word as offensive.. But what is really the meaning of fuck?

The word fuck has different meanings.. Fuck is an English word which, as a verb, literally means to engage in sexual intercourse. The word is generally considered offensive.
It is unclear whether the word has always been considered vulgar, and if not, when it first started to be considered vulgar. Some evidence indicates that in some English-speaking locales it was considered acceptable as late as the 17th century meaning "to strike" or "to penetrate."Other evidence indicates that it may have become vulgar as early as the 16th centiry in England, although neither set of evidence is inherently contradictory to the other, since many words have multiple connotations. The word became increasingly offensive over time because of its usage to describe (often in an extremely angry, hostile or belligerent manner) negative or unpleasant circumstances or people in an intentionally offensive way, such as in the term "motherfucker," one of its more common usages.

Fuck is used not only as a verb (transitive and intransitive), but also as a noun and interjection.The etymology of the word is uncertain.

Fuck can also be used in colloquial Swedish as an English loan word, with basically the same meanings as in English.

Reaction(love is a fallacy)

I had plenty reactions regarding what happened in the story and then characters especially on the narrator. "Love is a fallacy" according to Max Schulman. Love is really a fallacy for me. Love is something that is believed to be truth but sometimes is erroneous. Many of us don’t know that there are times when love, which we think to be truth, is erroneous just like what happened in Max Schulman’s “Love is a Fallacy”.I liked the last pert of the story because the girl, who is Polly, really learned and put in mind what the narrator taught her and she was able to use those information in answering the narrator's questions. Her answers were exactly the same as what the narrator taught her. The narrator really made a mistake. He shouldn’t make the deal with Petey.

The narrator is also very fool and he did not think Logic, the science of thinking and its fallacies will be used by Polly in preventing him to be his wife

Love, sometimes, could be considered as a fallacy depending on a situation a person maybe situated in. For example, if you only loved a girl or a guy because of his or her wealth, even though she is not as pretty as Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba or he is not as handsome as Brad Pitt or Leonardo de Caprio, then love in that situation is proven as a fallacy. Why? It is because you do not love that exact person but his or her wealth, jewelry and other luxurious things. You can also tell that love is a fallacy if you are just forced to love that person. Maybe out of pity because that person loves you so much and he or she is willing to die for you, or maybe because that person threatened you that he or she would commit suicide if you can not accept him or her. See what love can do?

The story was very funny but I realized that it was funny when I ended up the story with a cool question. Why would Polly Espy choose Petey Bellows who is a faddist rather than the man/narattor who is very intelligent, keen and better than Petey. Maybe also because of Love. Maybe, Polly realized that he loves Petey because of who he is. Not like the man who only thinks of himself rather than considering the feeling of his friend.
I was very well informed by the different fallacies. Those made me very curious on studying Law. The man/narrator was indeed an intelligent one. He was just eighteen but he already knew about these things. Things to be used in reasoning out during court trials.I do think LOVE really is a fallacy. Love is the root of all the problems yet love is the solution. Love is really a part of the problem. Divorced parents got married because they LOVED each other, it brought them together. They break up because the husband LOVED another woman. But then, the man realized something, the man still LOVED his wife.

I learned many things in the story. We should never be boastful. We should put our feet on the ground. We should not judge other people. We do not know their abilities. Maybe, they never show it to other people. And last, we should not take things for granted. They maybe useless now but they are going to be very useful in the future.

The narrator of the story is very bright and was only eighteen. He has a room mate, named Petey. He is a faddist.One afternoon, the narrator found Petey lying on his bed with an expression of such distress on his face. The narrator told Petey not to move because he will call a doctor. But then, Petey mumbled the word raccoon. The narrator asked Petey what he is trying to say . Petey said that he needs a raccoon coat. The narrator asked Petey why he wants a raccoon coat . The said that raccoon coat are not beautiful. But then Petey replied that he will do anything just to have a raccoon coat.
Then, the name Polly came into the mind of the narrator. . The narrator likes this girl named Polly. Polly is Petey's girlfriend. Polly is a girl who is beautiful and very gracious. But Polly is not intelligent.But the narrator puts into his mind that he can teach Polly about the things that Polly doesn’t know. The narrator asked Petey if he and Polly are in a relationship.But Polly said that they are not in a relationship. They only meet sometimes. Then, the narrator got a bag,placed some things in it and told Petey that he will go home.When he came back to the dormitory, the narrator brought a raccoon coat for Petey. Petey was delighted when he saw the coat and asked directly the narrator what could be the payment in exchange for the coat . Then the narrator told Petey that he will have the coat if he can have Petey’s girl, Polly. Petey doesn’t agree with him. But not long after, Petey could not stop his self, he really likes the coat. And so, he agreed with the narrator and they made a deal.Then, the narrator immediately asked Polly for a date out. First, he took Polly to eat dinner. After eating, Polly said, “Gee, that was a delish dinner,". Then he took her to a movie. "Gee, that was a marvy movie," she said as they left the theater. And then he took her home. "Gee, I had a sensaysh time," she said as she bade the narrator goodnight.He felt bad and decided to give Polly back to Petey but then he decided to try and teach Polly. He wants to teach Polly how to think.
In their next date, he took Polly to the Knoll and Talk. "Oo, terrif," said Polly after hearing that they’re going over to the Knoll and Talk. Polly asked what they will talk about and then he said that they will talk about logic."Logic," he said, clearing his throat, "is the science of thinking. Before we can think correctly, we must first learn to recognize the common fallacies of logic. These we will take up tonight."He taught Polly about fallacies and cited some examples but at first, Polly was confused and did not understand but in the last kind of fallacy, she was able to think and answer correctly. This fallacy was about “Poisoning the Well”.After that night, the narrator decided to ask Polly’s decision to go steady with him. But in every thing he said, Polly was able to answer him a fallacy that he taught her and he was really impressed. But Polly said that she will not go steady with him. She told him that she will go steady with Petey. Then the narrator compares his self to Petey. He said that he is brilliant and Petey is not but Polly told him that he is poisoning the well. The narrator then asked why she chooses Petey and she said that "He's got a racoon coat."

One of my hobbies is listening music. I really love R&B songs and love songs. Those kind of songs are really nice. Before I sleep, I usually listen to mellow love songs. Listening to mellow music before sleeping makes your sleep very tight. It soothes my feeling.

What are my favorite songs? Have you watch the movie “Passion of Christ” The movie Passion of Christ really shows how Jesus Christ suffered in a brutal way just to save us. In the movie, did you see the wounds? Have you ever wonder how painful those wounds are? Every time I see those wounds, I remember the word STIGMATA.

Have you encountered the word Stigmata? When you hear such word, what comes into your brain? Some may think that stigmata is a part of plant but definitely it’s not. Maybe they are referring to the stigma. Stigma and stigmata are not the same.

What is a stigmata?Stigmata are bodily marks, sores, or sensations of pain in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus. The term originates from the line at the end of Saint Paul’s's Letter of the Galatians where he says, "I bear on my body the marks of Jesus", with "marks" in the Latin Vulgate rendered as "stigmata". An individual bearing stigmata is referred to as a stigmatic.The causes of stigmata are the subject of considerable debate. Some contend that they are miraculous, while others argue they are hoaxes or can be explained medically.Stigmata are primarily associated with the Roman Catholic faith. Many reported stigmatics are members of Catholic religious orders. The majority of reported stigmatics are female

Reported cases of stigmata take various forms. Many show some or all of the five Holy Wounds that were, according to the Bible, inflicted on Jesus during his crucifixion: wounds in the hands and feet, from nails, and in the side, from a lance. A Piece of Advice

“Haven’t you received the text message from Margaux?”

Does the dialogue mentioned above seem familiar? Could it be a scenario that may be to a close friend, a relative, a neighbor or an elementary schoolmate or classmate you haven’t seen since then?

May I ask you, who among you want to be a parent at an early age? I think no one would ever fantasize. Come to think of it, had you come to an instance that you asked your “ATM” (stands for “Ai Ta Ma”) for an increase in your allowance to cover your load, shopping, strolling here and there and other stuff just to fulfill your wants?

As a teenager myself in this generation, I would never deny of the feeling that in some point of my solitude, I crave for it and fantasize to experience it. Sexual impulses are very human especially to us teenagers, for we are greatly swayed by our emotions or, shall I say, “desires” at this stage of our lives. But it is a normal thing according to psychology.

Here’s the question: Do you really have to be dumb?

Because, goodness gracious, you can always delay that urge to quickly buy these different types of condoms: TRUST, FRENZY and many others. You always have the option to be afraid to get STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) or be afraid to commit sin (as what our parish priests always say) in engaging in pre-marital sex. Or you can always bring yourself back to your senses and be sensible and listen to your conscience. Keep this in mind. If you really have to do this, it isn’t time yet. You’re not prepared.

I tell you, a spur of the moment when not properly handled can lead to things that are still beyond our capabilities. Just think of the consequences of your actions when you get there: to abort the child and let your conscience haunt you for the rest of your life or accept the great responsibility that even your mom and dad haven’t fully mastered yet, being a parent.

Again, for you girls, you don’t have to be dumb. We usually hear people say when news of an obvious unwanted pregnancy spreads: “She’s dumb. Why would she let herself get into something like that when she doesn’t want it? She’s stupid!” That’s it. You don’t have to be dumb and I’m not done yet.

And for you guys, it isn’t that you’re not the one who will suffer much, obviously, you will not be the one to get pregnant. But my point is, you must be responsible. Being a man doesn’t mean that experience in sex boosts your appeal. A real man is the one who has the sense to take responsibility.

So, again, boys and girls, remember that life is a game. You have to have the strategies to win yet you also have to think of the consequences that your actions do to other people, whether good or bad. You can always take the wrong path and have an unpleasant life. Or, you can accept my advice.

Media: A Mere Reflection of the World

Mass media is a means of communication for instance: print (newspapers, magazines, leaflets, etc.) which focus on the visual aspect; radio and television—which is both audio video coverage not only in the locality but also internationally. Multitudes of audiences to which they appeal are tremendously influenced by them in their way of thinking and conceptualizing over things. By democracy, these media are of great importance. Their audiences have the responsibility of using them wisely and fairly.

According to Alastair Thompson, fulltime staff of Scoop Unusual News Agency, indeed says that media has a great influence in the formation of war and until now, media influences much.

There are different theories of mass media: the Agenda Setting Theory, Social Responsibility Theory and Cognitive Dissonance Theory. In Agenda Setting Theory, mass media influences the salience of the events in the public mind, shaping awareness and action, to capsulate the thought. It means that it tells the people not what to think but rather what to think about. I will cite the issue of Pacquiao’s candidacy for congressman. Let us people think about it. What will be the effect if he runs for the office? In Social Responsibility Theory, media has the responsibility to let the people decide for their own and not feeding them the ideas. And lastly, if based in the Cognitive Theory, media has to be selective on the presentation or broadcasting of the news. For example, pictures of brutally murdered victims are distorted. This is to protect the victims and for the audiences too.

I found out that mass media is powerful. The general notion is that press or media can control or at least strongly influence public opinion. It can echo and stimulate a wave of popular feeling. Like other performing pills, mass media can stimulate or depress, but it cannot cure. It can fan fear and hatred for another nation when the fear and hatred are easy to sway, but it cannot make peace. The media is only a reflection of the world it reports; and like the world, it is quite unable to recognize or accept really what is on the news.

Defense Of the Ancients

I am a computer game addict. I love to play computer games. When I was in 1st year me and my classmates (boys) used to play computer games three times a day. We play before the class begins, during lunch break and after classes. The first computer game I have addicted to, is the online game GUNZ”. Weeks passed, Defense of he Ancient or DOTA became popular. I decided to play DOTA then days gone by, I became an addict to it.

DotA Allstars is a variant of the custom map Defense of the Ancient or Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. It is a team strategy game focused on hero combat. The objective is to destroy the opponents' base using one's own hero along with allied heroes and allied AI-controlled fighters called "creeps"

Defense of the Ancients is a team game with two opposing sides. Unlike regular Warcraft III games, in which many units are controlled by the player, in DotA each player must choose a single hero - with its own skills, strengths, and weaknesses, and control only this hero in order to achieve victory. The objective here is to destroy the opposing team's main structure (the "Ancient"), thus giving rise to the game name. To reach the Ancient, each hero must defeat waves of units, structures and enemy heroes. Along the way, the player may upgrade his or her hero by defeating enemies in combat, which supplies gold and experience points. These are both necessary in order to purchase upgrades either from shops or the hero's ability list.
Each hero can learn three "standard" abilities, and a special "ultimate" ability in all versions. The heroes are split into three classes, each emphasizing one of the three parameters: strength, agility, and intelligence.

Each player controls a single hero, which is a powerful unit with unique abilities. Players choose one of the eighty-two heroes available between the two teams, as of version 6.42. DotA allows for a maximum of ten players in a five versus five format and an additional two slots for referees or observers, and games are usually played with even numbers of players on each side. Along with his or her teammates, a player fights alongside one of the two battling computer-controlled powers—the Sentinel and the Scourge, which are thematically represented as good and evil respectively. Each team has a computer-controlled base on opposing corners of the map. The objective of the game is to breach the other team's defensive base towers and destroy their main structure (World Tree if one is affiliated with the Sentinel side or Frozen Throne if one is affiliated with the Scourge). The towers act as fortresses and are very important to the game, as they must be destroyed in order to reach the main base.

As Dota Allstars gameplay revolves around the use of individual heroes, it does not require one to focus on resource management and base-building, which is common in traditional Real- Time games. Instead, a player's attention is focused on their hero, and their time is devoted to gaining experience by killing weak enemy units, gaining gold by getting the killing blow on these units, and skirmishing with the opposing heroes. The typical resource-gathering of Warcraft III is replaced by a combat-oriented money system. In addition to a small periodic gold income, heroes earn gold by killing creeps, base structures, and enemy heroes. With their gold, players buy items to strengthen their hero and gain additional abilities. Certain items can be combined together with predefined 'recipes' to create more powerful items. Buying items to suit one's hero is an important tactical element of the game.

A typical DotA Allstars game lasts between thirty to ninety minutes, depending on the quality of the players and heroes on each team and also on the game mode. There are a variety of game modes which dictate whether people can choose their own hero, get one randomly assigned to them, and change the difficulty of the game. Many of these game modes can be mixed, increasing the variety of play.

In this game there are many heroes that have an edge over others. The aim is to have no strongest hero in the game and to have all of them balanced, but there are times when heroes may be imbalanced. That means their combination of skills and stats are much too strong or much too weak, when comparing with the other heores. In fact, as of version 6.43, most heroes are not considered to be balanced with the rest of the group, although they get better balanced with each version. Balancing them proves extremely difficult because it is necessary to consider various types of game modes, rules, and specific strategies and heroes combinations, not to mention heroes-items combinations.

DOTA is really addictive! Believe me! It is really a nice game…..

Are you fun of watching anime cartoons? Do you find anime series very nice? As an anime lover, I find anime cartoons very amazing. They are too damn nice. I really admire anime cartoons. The graphics are very unique, yet amazing. I am an avid fanatic of anime series such as ghost fighter, naruto, flame of recca, hunter x hunter, shaman king and etc. But for me, I find the anime series “One Piece” as the best anime series ever.

What’s “One Piece” all about? One Piece is a manga and anime series created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda. One Piece focuses on a ragtag crew of pirates led by captain monkey D. Luffy . Luffy's greatest ambition is to obtain the world's ultimate treasure , One Piece, and become Pirate . The story is summarized below.

It was a time when pirates ruled the seas. Several bands of pirates were battling over the great hidden treasure, One Piece, which was left by the now legendary pirate king, Gol D. Roger. There was a young boy who had admired pirates. His name was Luffy. One day, he mistakenly eats a cursed fruit turning himself into a rubber man. Ten years have past since that incidence, Luffy sets out to see all alone. He sets out to become a great pirate captain and his great adventure begins. “I’m going to be the Pirate King! I’m going to get One Piece”.

The manga began its serial run in issue #34 of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on August 4, 1997, while the anime adaptation produced by Toei Animation premiered on Fuji TV on October 20, 1999. Eiichiro Oda originally planned One Piece to last five years, and he had already planned out the ending; however, the story has continued far beyond his expectations, and its popularity has swelled to enormous proportions. One Piece is the fourth highest selling manga in the history of Weekly Shonen Jump, and is currently Japan's most popular and all-time third-best-selling Shōnen Jump title. Volume 24 of the One Piece manga was the highest selling Japanese novel of all time, prior to the publication of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The popularity of One Piece has led to adaptations of both the manga and anime into many other languages including Korean , Chinese, English, Germans, French Italian, Basque, Spanish, Thai, Filipino. Catalan, Danish,Norwegian, Swedish, Malay, Indonesian, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi and Finnish.

POLTERGEIST

Do you know what is a ghost ? Do you know what is a spirit ? When you hear the word “ poltergeist,” what comes into your mind? Yes, the terms ghost and spirits are related to poltergeist. Are these things real? Do you believe that these things exist? Most people conclude that these supernatural things are only product of one’s naughty imagination. Even though these things sound so unexplainable, many people find these things very interesting.

What is a poltergeist by the way? Have you encountered such word? If yes, have you heard stories about it? As what I have research, “poltergeist” is a term used to describe a spirit or ghost that manifest itself by moving and influencing inanimate objects. Poltergeist is a mischievous spirit that makes noises unexplainable except by supernatural causes. The word poltergeist is a German term for noisy ghost. Reports of poltergeist activity typically feature heavily on raps, bumps thumps, knocks, footsteps and bed-shaking all without a discernible paint of origin or physical reason for occurrence. Many accounts also detail objects being thrown about the room, furniture being moved and even people being levitated. Though rare, a few poltergeist have been known to speak, including The Bell Witch in 1817 and Get the Talking Mongoose in 1931.

How can we explain the existence of a poltergeist? Do they really exist? Poltergeist phenomena are a focus of study within parapsychology. Parapsychologists define poltergeist activity as a type of uncontrolled psychokinesis.” Recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis is a phrase suggested by parapsychologist William G. Roll to denote poltergeist phenomena ( the earliest one details the raining of stones and bed shaking in Ancient Egypt) has left matter open for debate within the parapsychology community. However some poltergeist have the ability to articulate themselves and to have distinct personalities, which suggest some sort of self-awareness and intent. Practitioners of “astral projection” have reported the existence of unfriendly astral life forms, which are commonly called “ negs whom we might also identify with elementals). If they exist, these may well have the ability to affect the physical explanation such as static electricity, electromagnetic fields, ultra-and ultrasound and/or ionized air. Some scientist go as far as calling them pseudo-physcic phenomena and claim under some circumstances they are caused by obscure physical effects. The basic theory is that poltergeist movement are repulsive versions of casimir effect that can put pressures on objects.

Whatever are the reasons stated above, we can’t still conclude that these supernatural things really exist or not.

Saying "NO" Is Not A Cowardice

Are there any instances in your life that you find it hard to decide over a thing? Situations, wherein your head almost burst up because your doubtful whether to give a “yes” or “no” . If yes, same here. I do feel what you feel. But, don’t you worry these scenario is merely normal for we are facing hard time deciding especially on contradicting or saying “No” towards a wrong act which your peers tries to push you into.

More often than not, we youth are hooked into things which lead us to fall into a cliff if not prevented. Drinking, gambling, smoking, drag racing, drugs and even sex beyond the blessing of the sacrament of matrimony are some of these things. Youth get the notion of “you do them”, you’re in” which is really a crooked belief that when you do such then you’re socially accepted. And for a young mind, being innocent needs extra guts to say “No” especially we are living in a modernized world which is bombarded and injected with immoral and worthless ideas. Dismaying , right? But as what I’ve observed these actions are increment being practice which slowly degrade teenagers dignity and slowly vanish their moral values.

Worldly craving and being crazy about it, not only steals the youth towards their goal but also is a barrier towards the competition of being ahead that fact that their health is already at risk. Issues like these is already a talk of the town and already thrown towards. Youth must need to be follow-up by to society and if not their life will be just a waste and be miserable until they grow old.

It’s an irony that why on earth that these actions are existing well in fact we are Filipinos , and Philippines, is the sole catholic country in Asia and instead we have be morally upright and for me, it’s very shameful in our part.

Though you may find “No” hard to utter yet it has the life changing and life saving person.

So next time you feel like drinking, gambling, smoking, drag racing, use drugs and crave for sex, feel free to think and weigh over things and consider its consequence. These action are not worthy after all, all these will only harm you maybe not this instant but maybe in a long run, it may even kill you. You have your life and you’re still young, don’t waste time on poppycock. Dude, a young person who has the courage to say “No” is the true cool person but if you affirm then you’re simple dumb. It’s so simple my friend, all you need is discipline and self preservation. Start it now! ! ! ! !

What a UP student is not?

As I have observed, people describe us as intelligent and very brilliant. Some also say that we are good in speaking English. Some say we are good in MATHEMATICS. But believe it or not, some even don’t know any information about us. They sometimes try to ignore when they hear the word Upians. Maybe because they only recognize UP as a school of college students but definitely it’s not! Although the school is not so beautiful, the people studying there have clean hearts and conscience.

It’s so hard to admit the negative side of us. We don’t even look at our negatives, maybe because we are so busy. But as a UP student, I know our imperfectness and mistakes.
We are not rich, especially in materials and tools. We only have the least amount of gadgets needed in our activities. We don’t have very expensive materials.

We are not good followers when it comes to instructions especially in projects and assignments. Many of us are dead liners. We do our project during the last minute on the day of the project’s deadline. If the teacher said that it should be passed on Monday for example, there are some students who pass their projects on Tuesday or Wednesday.

When it comes to rules and regulations, UP students are somewhat violators. In our school, wearing bracelets and necklaces are not allowed but I can still see students wearing their bracelets during school hours. There are some people who bring their cell phones with them. Even not during school hours, it’s still a violation because you are supposed to surrender your phone to the student welfare of the room or to the principal and you can only have it back after school hours.

UP students are also not good speakers. Yes, it’s true. Many of us have hard times in studying English. In our activities that involve speaking or writing composition, many of us really complain because as they said, they have no more ideas. A good example is this blog project. Many of us are bothered by their problem about writing or expressing feelings, opinions, and reactions through writing. They can’t think of other words. And I think that’s one thing that UP should improve.

Although we are said to be brilliant students, we should not jump into conclusions. We should improve our imperfectness and continue our abilities. We should not ignore the things that can destroy the image of UP. We should put this in mind that whatever we do when we are wearing the school uniform, it is reflected to the school and thus affecting the image of the school. You might as well ask why we should be wholesome to protect the image of the school. We should protect the image of the school because it also affects our personal life. I hope you are aware that people judge generally. Meaning, if whatever they see in one student, it will also be their impression in all the students if the said school. And if what one student does, they would also think that every student is doing the same job. You’ll see the difference between protecting and not protecting the image of the school.

Reflections on Being Taught

I decided not to be a student teacher because I want to… because I only I want to be a student and maybe give myself a chance to listen to my classmates’ discussions. It was exciting because they were supposed to be your classmates but at that time, they were my teachers. Your respect should be a little higher because at that moment, they had the power, I mean; they were more respectable at those times.

I realize that even if the person talking in front of you is just a student or even just a classmate, we need to respect and listen to what he/she is telling you or discussing to you. . Although they were not real teachers, they had managed to be patient in discussing when they really know who were paying attention and who were not. They know more who we are so it was like an awkward thing for me. But the advantage is that, we are classmates so we don’t insult each other and that we are comfortable with each other.

Some of my classmates taught not only in our class but also in other classes like in section Benton and the 1st year sections. As I had seen, they were really busy and they were so dedicated to their work. It was like that they were real teachers. So I assume that they will be so independent when they will reach their college years. I hope I can be as hardworking as they are.

Some of them taught so well, and some were just all right. Some had problems with the lessons assigned to them but some felt happy about their easy lessons. Some of them just reported and some also really discussed and even gave us tests.

I loved their certificates and their IDs. They were so wonderful and even artistic. They were really like real teachers that had given awards. I was not really like amazed or wondered because I’ve been, I mean, we’ve been through this before. But that time was different because the people you don’t expect to join had joined. And you thought that they couldn’t do the right thing. But exactly they did well their part. Now, I can really say that UP students are really brilliant. They are good in academic, sports, music and arts. Students here can really be teachers someday. I know some of them who wanted to be teachers or professors. I’m sure that it will not be hard for them because they already have many experiences, in fact, very memorable experiences. Those experiences had given a great meaning and new lesson to all the students in UP high school, not just student teachers but also those who didn’t participate in teaching I was happy that the lessons were not hard to understand maybe because we had so much fun with our student teachers. I hope that those experiences would not be forgotten by the student teachers. That was also a great achievement for them. Lastly, I want to wish a good luck to all of them.

Marriage and Responsible Parenthood

As a consequence, husband and wife, through a mutual gift themselves specifically & exclusively between them alone, seek to develop that kind of personal union in which they complement one another in order to cooperate with God in the generation and education of new lives.” (Humane Vitae #8)

In this blog of mine, I am gonna express and share my own understanding and on what is responsible parenthood. Might be wondering why I choose this topic?! It is because I am inspired by the responsible parents around me. That they have done their part as parents well and that those too of the irresponsible parents who are supposed to serve good examples to their children were instead bringing them to the evil side and even encourage them to do bad things which is definitely not a work of a responsible parents. Isn’t it?

But what do we mean by “Responsible Parenthood”? If we talk about responsibility in the exercise of the function of parenthood, different aspects are to be considered. They should be with the proper knowledge and observance of their specific functions. It is therefore required in marriage that both husband and wife to have full awareness of their obligations in the matter of responsible parenthood. It should be studied in the light of the various aspects which are inter-related and which serve to justify it. When we speak of their full awareness, this comprises the following aspects: BIOLOGICAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL, ECONOMIC, PHYSCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL. In as much as there have been many interpretations of the term ”responsible parenthood” it should not be adequate safely with family planning whether natural or artificial. Neither should “responsible parenthood” be equated with procreation without due regard to the socio-economic status of the family. Responsible Parenthood in relation to the environmental processes., must be understood in terms of knowledge of and respect to their specific functions which form past of the person. Both of them two should wisely decide on the number of family or how large is their family be going to be so as the number of children they want or wish to have. But we all know that it’s all in God’s decision if what are his plans for you cannot stop him once he had already or time. Responsible parents should strive to provide needs of their family by raising their children in an atmosphere of love and genuine concern, giving them food, if not the best education, and installing in them. Christian values that would guide them in their adult years.

Intimate Kissing

Kiss means to press or touch with the lips as an expression of passion,affection or respect. It's a way of expressing an affection to another. When you kiss a person, it only means that you respect or kove that person. There are many forms of kiss but in this in entry, I will take intimate kissing or the so-called "french kiss" as my main main topic.

As what I have research, intimate kiss or french kiss is a form of a romantic,sexual and erotic kiss in which one participant's tongue touches the other's tongue and usually enters his or her mouth. French kiss have different terms. Some people call it as a tongue kiss and some mey call it a deep kiss. Other terms for french kiss includes pash, snog, neck and "chula" in cebuano term.
In a tongue kiss or french kiss, participants exchange saliva, that may add to the passion and excitement of the kiss. French kissing stimulates the lips, tongue and mouth,which are all areas very sensitive to touch. Unlike other forms of casual kiss; episodes of French kissing will often be prolonged,intense and passionate. As an expression of romantic affection and sexual desire,kissing involves two people kissing one another on the lips,usually with more intensity and for a considerably longer period of time. In french kiss, cuples may open their muths, suck on each other's lips or tounges, or move their tongues into each other's mouth. Physical sensations are often of primary importance. One might find it stimulating if their prtner moved their tongues in small circles against their own, or bite the lips gently. It sounds so very yucky for children or immatures to hear these things abouy intimate kissing. Well, it's their opinions.
Most lovers perform french kissing. It is often used by lovers to express their intimate feeling toward each other and often precedes sexual intercourse. French kissing sometimes signal the beginning of a period of "making out" or "sexual intercourse". It is considered by many couples to be both very pleasurable and highly intimate.

What are the good efffects of French kissing? In french kissing, one's heart beats fast. Our body secrete a hormone called "adrenaline" every time our heart beats faster and faster. In this situation,our heart is said to be "exercised". Other good effect of kissing is it slows the aging process. Jaw and cheek muscles specifically the "orbicularis oculi"(fast-reacting muscle) are exercised during kissing.

What are the bad effects of French kissing? Although most sexually transmitted diseases are not transmitted by kissing, the exchange of saliva in a french kiss may increse the chances of catching orally transmitted disease. One disease spread through kissing is the Infectious Mononucleosis. Infectious Mononucleosis is a disease spread through saliva and is often colloquially referred to as "kissing disease".

COMMITMENT(By will and by heart)

Who among you said that sharing is loving? But it doesn’t mean that we also with boyfriends and girlfriends, ahhh!!! …. For sure you own the must crooked reasoning ever.

Thinking that in our generation, guys and gals are patronizing liberal thinking, open relationship is already a common case among young lovers. This denotes a relationship in which couples agree to date other prospects while they are not yet marriage. Despite the fact that our conservative society strongly negates this practice among women, men on the other hand are almost given special treatment by forgiving them if they are guilty of having multiple partners. This, they say; is because; is because men are polygamous by nature. There it is acceptable that love another, while committed to the another.

However, I stand that this should be practice no more. Live for the present. For me are now jamming to the music of the new millenium, we should take that as a cue
that gone are the days of Abraham. Polygamy was only justifiable in the old Testament. They were allowed to do so in order to a more production of children. The fact during that time here are lesser population and they were asked to go to the world and multiply.

Now, you might just argue that we are not talking about married people here. In fact , not just yet. But remember a man who got used to smoking, even if he got “over” with it, he would surely light a cigarette occasionally for pleasure. What the man was so used to do when he was not yet married is what he would still practice even after he ties the knot with his bride. The point is , so that a man would not be tempted of having other women aside from his wife in the future, he should be forbidden of having other girlfriends aside from his partner as early as steady days.

Collect, collect and then select. To some or perhaps, to many liberated young men, this could be the most practical way of looking for the best girlfriend. They court and date two. Three or more ladies at the same time, and apparently choose who among those ladies satisfies them most. What is this, and audition? By doing this practice men are being ignorant of the consequence of their action. Ironically, they do not realize that while they are enjoying important things of the manhood: DIGNITY, MYSTERY and TRUE LOVE .

First, we discuss dignity. A man who practices infidelity is never worthy of honor for he does not have the strength to fight temptations. Therefore he is nothing but a weakling. Second, when go date a couple of “chicks” around a very small world, you hastily throw your magnetic appeal away because you are now considered” just one of the guys”, nothing special . On being public, you waste every inch of mystery in you. Lastly, while having numerous girlfriends, a man would more likely than not have misconceptions as to whether he is really in love or just into a romance fancy in a particular relationship. So that when the time comes that he has to choose, physical pleasures oust emotional feelings from ruling, and unfortunately , he loves the ability to identify true love . It is never a practical way if you lose more than you can afford. And besides, how practical is this when in fact you only waste time and effort in working with relationship which do not have a future anyway?

Finally, this is not an issue of equality between men and women anymore. But this is an issue about commitment. You see when you commit yourself to relationship, you devote your love to that one person alone. But if you venture to other romance other than your partner’s, then you are not truly committed. And if there is no commitment, there is no point to the relationship for what is there for both of you to work for.

Forbidden Love

When i wake up in the morning, her name is in my mind. and when I gO to school, I always think of her. When I enter the classroom, she is the first girl I always see. It seems like that the rest are nothing and the only visible to me is her beautiful face. I can't take my eyes away from her. I think we're destined to be in the same room. I sometimes stay away from my group just to stare at her. I don't know what's in her that i can't stop thinking of her.


We've been classmates for almost 2 years. But this year's different. I feel different towards her. I don't remember when it started. I just know that I'm still doing the same thing up to now.


Days gone by and people caught me staring at her. teases and funs started. Then she was amazed. I don't know how to react this time, for my greatest secret was revealed. Everywhere I go, she's always there or there is something that can make me remember her. Everything i say, it connects to her. And then I started to feel conscious. We're not the same people who talked and laughed together with the class before. now, I am away from her because i can't managed to go close to her.


I'm aware that she has so many friends to tell to about her secrets. And her friends know what I feel towards her. so i also assume that she knows about it. It's so hard to be close to her when i know that she is holding a great responsibility in class and that she is always busy everytime. I've been through this before, but this time, it's more comlicated. It's complicated because almost everybody in the campus know about the issue.


What will I do to stop this feeling when I know that it would not be effective? People try to tell me that we should talk about the issue and tell each other what we felt inside our hearts. We had talked so many times but the words inside my heart won't come out right. It's like i'm not ready to face her. I'm not ready to face the truth that it's too late. It's too late to say she is always my favorite classmate. But it's not too late to bring back the friendship we had before and the meomories we shared together when the time I didn't feel like this way.


Can you tell me what will i do next? Shall I continue feeling this way or shall I give up this feeling? I know there's chance between the two of us but there will be people hurt. I can't sacrifice her for everybody. I also can't sacrifice everybody for her. I don't think i can choose between the two. I just know exactly what I really feel. It's like i'm trapped and imprisoned. It's like I was exiled and was thrown away because of love, because of FORBIDDEN LOVE.

Our Little World (Teen's World)

“Your luckier than I am…… blaaah!!!! blaaah!!!!! Blaaaah!!!!, are usual word which I always hear from my mom’s mouth. Sounds irritating right? I supposed you do hear or experience the same thin, “ sermons” (sermon of the mount as a name it). From your mother every time you violate her rules. But, I know one thing is for sure, more often than not; what runs in our mind is this “ Naaah!!! who cares, Your time is far different from our time.” Teenager’s don’t give a damn on what they’re nagging about.

Studies shows that we tend to act in such irritating and outraging manner to our parents and to other grown-ups, the fact that our frontal lobe( a portion of each cerebral hemisphere in front of the central fissure; and responsible for voluntary movement) is still developing.

In my stand, grown-ups need not treat us in such a ruthless manner. As a teenager myself, I hate being told( indeed, honestly speaking) because when they do such; it seems that they don’t enough trust on me. I feel that I am a prisoner; prisoner whose not give a chance to practice his right, the right to speak out and express himself. I want to voice out my point yet I know my limitations, I know when to react and when to shut my mouth and keep still. What I want to point out is that I want them not to be strict and on the other hand not to be lenient also.

Teenager nowadays are kinda hard headed. They love to negate with other people’s( especially grown-ups decision. No wonder why these teenager who are told by their parents became wild rebellions and less affectionate. Teenagers are hard to discern, unpredictable and adult will just scratch their heads(“Lisod Ispelingon” as what they commonly describe us)

Teenagers are imitative. They love to imitate other people. They idolize famous figures such as actors, actresses, singers, band members, basketball players, any famous player in different fields. Teenagers are explorers and most of the things they explore violates parental rules such as smoking cigarettes for instance are some of the things they’re experimenting for curiosity sake.

If you want to be hip and be part of the famous group in your campus; you must have with you the latest gadgets: latest phone models, MP4’s, Ipod’s and many others that are “In” in the market today; you must listen to alternatives, reggae, rock music, that soothes also the taste of your peers. Teens need to spend lots of cash here and there, to look trendy and cool.

What’s the most serious problem that involves teenagers is juvenile delinquency, they were put to jail because of committing crimes which most of the time the reason is using of illegal drugs. These teens are really not thinking of the consequence that in the end will only suffer.

I have a fresh memory of my mother’s daily words every morning, “ Your luckier than I am, when I was your age. I used to wake up at 4:00a.m. to prepare my food and things in going to school. I brought with me a piece of camote for my snacks and look at you! I gave you all the delicious things you asked for” with my mother’s sermons, though it irritates, I learned a lot from her experiences and I come up to a comparison and I have come to realize that I’m lucky. I have parents who always give me good moral values and incomparable parental love.

For your information, little ladies and little gentlemen, It's our little word indeed yet we will not be present here in these earth not because of our parents.

Lost Youngsters - Are You One of The Many?

Youngsters of today? Hmm… By the way, where are they? Are youngsters of today the same with yesterday’s? As I have observed, there is a huge disparity amongst today’s and yesterday’s youngsters. As a matter of fact, I can set myself as an example.

Observing at their behaviors and attitudes, fads and fashion, and the way they approach or deal with the society. It seems that the youngsters of today are wild; their good values and traits have been forgotten and slowly vanishing. Where are the good qualities of the Filipino youngsters that were practiced before? Have they been diminished? If you were asked to compare Filipinos to other nationalities, we Filipinos will stand out. Filipinos were noted to possess good qualities and traits; we are known for our hospitality, good nature and for our being family-oriented (the act of having close family ties).

Many foreign historians and philosophers who had studied our culture praised the values and traits of the Filipinos. But where are these traits at present? Sad to say, it seems that they have vanished in the wind. Is this the influence of the countries as we try to imitate their lifestyle and way of living? More often than not, indeed, we imitate. Though it turns out we are having a hard time at it.

Some say, “We are now westernized”. We have embraced the styles and trends of the west. Others say, “We are now taking the path to the future”. And because of that concept, we are aiming to be ‘futuristic’, too.

Are these concepts the reasons why our youngsters should behave differently now as compared to the past, say 30 years ago?

Youngsters of today indulge in various vices; they go beyond their limits. That is why some of them are engaged in prohibited drugs. But they didn’t realize that their involvement in these prohibitions could have them end up hurting themselves and others. They love to explore. Some are into smoking cigarettes and others are into drinking alcoholic beverages. They do it thinking that if they do, boys will becomes more masculine-looking and cool. For the girls, they thinking it will make them look “sosy” as their colloquial term. Others involve themselves with questionable characters and activities, for instance joining fraternities and sororities. To name a few, there’s APO, AKP, Tau Gamma Phi, Tau Gamma Sigma and gangs like Bloods and Crips. These youngsters are not thinking that they are destroying their lives and their future; but in the end, who will suffer? It still is them.

What’s worst, nowadays many a number of youngsters are aware of sexual intercourse. Sex is already and open book that they can share with anyone. This is very alarming. Most of them are likely to practice such because of curiosity and aggressiveness. Many teenage couples resort to pre-marital sex or fornication, which is a violation of God’s commandments and literally destroys the sanctity of marriage.

Fashion and fads also differ. Youngsters of today, especially girls, are most likely the issue. Skimpy shorts, micro mini skirts, halters, spaghetti straps, tube tops showing much flesh makes them degrading. (No offense to all the girls out there.) All I can say is that they must respect themselves if they want respect for them in return.

Indeed, we are lost but we still have time to correct it. Fellow youngsters, hope you will be awakened. As a youngster myself, all I can advice to all of you is that, today is the best time to explore and to discover whatever there is. However, bear in mind; we must know which decision to take and which path to follow. Live our lives to the fullest because being young and this much alive comes only once. Don’t waste a single moment. Our being young is indeed the most exciting ever, agree?
